Here is a guide line, for those who are dying and what we as care givers and supporters need be aware. This is not set in concrete but they are close. Carol is between two weeks and days in her progression towards death. This is a process and her body is shutting down it's vital organs slowly but surely.

Decreased food intake
Increase in sleep
Going inside of self
Less communication- One to Two Weeks

Agitation
Talking with the un seen
Confusion
Picking at clothes- Physical Changes
Back to the Table of Contents- Decreased blood pressure
Pulse increase or decrease
Color changes, pale or bluish
Increased perspiration
Respiration irregularities
Congestion.
Sleeping but responding
Complaints of body tired and heavy
Not eating, taking little fluids
Body tempperature, hot/cold- Days or Hours
Back to the Table of Contents- Intensifications of one or two week signs
Surge of energy
Decrease blood pressure eyes glassy, tearing, half open
Irregular breathing, stop/start
Restless or no activity
Purplish knees, feet, hands, blotchy
Pulse weak and hard to find
Decreased urine output
May wet or stool the bed.- Minutes
