Rewriting Your Life

If you have been living consciously or unconsciously under a pall of beliefs that undermine your vitality, happiness and expansion, how do you reinvent your belief system so that it serves your vitality and happiness? Decide first, what it is that you want to be your reality, and then deliberately create the beliefs that will support that life. Do you want to resonate with vibrant energy and radiant health, ready for any adventure? Do you want to attract a job in which you are appreciated and respected, where your work doesn't even feel like work? Do you want unshakable peace, no matter what is going on around you? Write it down. Write down the Self and the life you want to create.

Then take each statement regarding your ideal life and write a list of supporting beliefs that will uphold that statement. Your beliefs determine what you become, what you create and the kind of life circumstances you attract to yourself. Change your beliefs, and you change your Self. Change your Self, and you change your life. This list of supporting beliefs (affirmations) will be of incredible value. Carry it with you to work every day. At your break, at lunch and again before bed, read the list to yourself. The more you reread your list, the sooner your brain will get the message that these beliefs are something you want your grey matter to support.

In time, after repeatedly reading these statements and purposely programming them into your brain, your neocortex (the part of your brain that can imagine change and the steps necessary to make that change happen) will become the cheerleader for your new beliefs: your brain will begin forming strong bundles of neural fibers that carry these thoughts, and strong connecting synapses for the thoughts to travel from one node to the next with ease.

Your Magnificent Brain is Supporting You!
The brain supports in physical configuration the thoughts we think the most. When your most frequent thoughts are uplifted visions of your healing and vitality, your brain will support that new blueprint with enhanced neural circuitry for those healing thoughts. It will then become easier and easier to think these thoughts: they will have thick neural bundles carrying them, and they will have strong connecting links between neurons to make the process of thinking these thoughts easy. Eventually they will become automatic thoughts--you won't really have to think about them. With consistent practice, they then become a part of your permanent brain map.

At the same time, your new thoughts on vitality will cause new chemical messages to be sent from your brain to every cell in your body, boosting your immune system and bringing your health into alignment with your new supportive beliefs.

When you practice these thoughts and beliefs over a period of time, you begin to automatically take the effective actions necessary to fulfill your desires. Simultaneously you emit a new vibrational energy in every waking and sleeping moment. Creating a system of self-supporting beliefs is the first critical task in healing your body and your life. Your new belief system will shape and vitalize on every level the changes you want to see. When you create a system of beliefs that support the health and the life you want, you take the first step in healing your body and creating your own destiny.
